What to Expect
Join us every Sunday at 10am!
Our usual Sunday liturgy is Holy Eucharist, also called Holy Communion. If you have attended worship in the Roman Catholic or Lutheran traditions, you will find our liturgy is similar. The entire service is contained in a weekly bulletin, no confusing juggling of books. In general, we stand to sing, pray and hear the Gospel; we sit during all other readings and for the sermon.
We gather to offer our praise and prayers to God during the Liturgy of the Word. We read from scripture, followed by a sermon. We affirm our faith with the Creed, confess our shortcomings and pass the Peace, sharing the Peace of Christ with one another in a safe and healthy way.
The Liturgy of the Eucharist follows. During the Eucharistic Prayer, bread and wine are offered for consecration. All are welcome to receive Communion which is gluten free and non-alcohol. We conclude with prayer, a blessing and the dismissal which invites us to go into the world to serve God and others.
What to Wear
It’s up to you; we are located in the desert, in a tourist town. We invite you and your family to dress in whatever way you feel is comfortable and appropriate.
After the Service
Currently we share some brief fellowship after the service, in an appropriately distanced fashion. Due to COVID, we remain in an area that is well ventilated.
Precautions
If you know you have been exposed to COVID-19, please stay home. Distancing and masking protocols are in place at this time.
